George Best Golf Invitational

The inaugural George Best Golf Invitational took place with great success at Galgorm Castle, Ballymena on Sunday, July 6th 2008. The event hosted 25 celebrities who competed with an amateur team in a four-ball format to raise funds for the George Best Foundation.
The event attracted wonderful local interest and George Best’s 1968 European Cup medal, 1968 Player of the Year trophy, a pair of his football boots and his cherished Mini Cooper were just some of the memorabilia on show at Galgorm.
