Meet the team
Seamus McKibben – Event Manager
Seamus spent seven years working for the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) Irish Region where, as part of a dedicated team, he co-ordinated and ran professional and pro-am events all over Ireland. Away from the PGA Tournament Office, Seamus also caddied for professionals such as former Ryder Cup hero Philip Walton, current GUI National Coach, Neil Manchip, and current ILGU Head Coach David Kearney. There are few individuals within Irish golfing circles that Seamus doesn't know.
Sylvia Baxter – Event Manager
Sylvia's background is in teaching and the Enniskillen native first caught the golfing bug when teaching for six years in Dubai. During her time in the Emirates, Sylvia also served as Competition Secretary at Dubai Country Club, and for several years she organised pupils from Dubai College to assist with the scoring during the European Tour's Dubai Desert Classic. Having played golf all over the world, Sylvia believes friends made on the fairways are friends for life.
Paul Gallagher – Event Manager
Paul has worked as a sports journalist with The Irish Times for the last eight years and also contributes to Ireland's leading golf magazines, such as Golf Digest Ireland and Golfing. Through his work Paul has been fortunate to sample firsthand the leading golf events in Ireland and beyond when reporting – the highlight being the 2006 Ryder Cup at The K-Club. Having played golf in practically every corner of this island he is familiar with most Irish courses.
